Notes

Entered the water from the stairs to the south of the restaurant, like the first dive. Tide was low and had gone out a bit since the first dive. This surprised me a bit given the current on the first dive — I had assumed the tide was coming in. Headed toward the edge of the wall. Saw an old bloke diving with an old Aqua Lung twin-hose regulator setup, which was very impressive. Also saw a large turtle off the wall a little way, heading up to the surface to breathe. Current was still headed north, so we did a similar dive to the first — looking for macro stuff and staying out of the current where possible. A mosaic moray eel was trying to eat something hidden in the corals as we came back to the 10 m mark. The usual fish life on top of the reef in the shallows. Dive was good but not the usual level of fish we have come to expect at Kontiki.
