Notes

Entered the water like the first dive via the stairs but the tide was a lot higher this time around. Which was a bit of a blessing since we could descend a lot earlier. The first few minutes of the dive were missing as my computer didn't switch to dive mode due to the shallow water. Once again headed out in an Easterly direction, I think the dive guide's plan was to follow the wall further north again into the current. But as we reached the edge of the reef it became clear that any attempt to head north would be hard work due to the current strength that had increased during the surface interval. So the new plan was just let the current push us south west as a one way drift dive over the top of the reef. Ended up being a great decision as we saw many pipefish, an octopus, and seahorse. A huge turtle with two remoras attached that was busy trying to make itself a hiding place out of the current behind a rock. A moray eel, some shrimp, banded sea snake and even a mermaid! Eventually surfaced in around 1 - 2 metres of water to find we were only about 80m from the wharf. Short surface swim and easy exit via a set of concrete stairs built into the side of the pier. Dived with Mactan Scuba Dive Shop.
