Asked the dive master to extend the surface interval before this one since he had cut the break short on the previous dive. The dive brief was once again limited, with us being informed the dive was going to be a "drift." Landed on a sand bottom at around 20–21m, and to my surprise, I decided to swim against the current for the first 5–10 minutes, making me wonder what sort of drift this? Just a lot of hard work. Eventually, he decided to stop fighting nature and actually drifted. A boat had obviously drifted while dragging its anchor at the site recently too, as there was a huge path cut in the sand through the site. Saw some tiny nudibranchs and a hermit crab scurrying along the bottom. Around the 25-minute mark, needed to ascend a bit due to limited NDL, while drifting and swimming in a westward direction. After around 5 minutes, we met a reef at around 10 metres depth, which we spent the rest of the dive exploring before the DM shot an SMB so the boat could come pick us up. Wasn't my favourite site — I probably would have preferred spending the time on the reef rather than drifting over sand. Dived with Malapascua Thresher Divers, unfortunately no website I could find.
